Guide to Roleplaying

This is exactly what it says. A guide, meant to get you roleplaying in Kisandria with a minimum of difficulty. It presumes you're at least familiar with freeform roleplaying. If not, ask around until you find someone willing to give you an explanation. Any staff are likely picks.

Character Creation
This is, at times, the most difficult part of playing in Kisandria. Why? All characters have to be apped, and they have to fall within a certain spectrum to be approved. There are a few things that will get your character definitely rejected.
~~~Rejection List~~~
Technology - This is a fantasy room. A large amount of technology, or technological/scientific knowledge will get your character rejected.
Godlike being - The High God of Kisandria limits who can and can't get in. At least, that's what it is In Character. Out of Character, the Host attempts to maintain some semblance of game balance by not generally allowing supercharacters approval. If your character can do anything, anytime, they won't get approved.
Supermages - See the above section.
Dragonball Z - There are rooms already made for DBZ. This is not one of them. These characters simply are too out of balance for the room.
Jedi/Sith - These characters usually have a technological knowledge that thwarts their applications. If you really really really want to play one, talk to the Host. Something might be able to be worked out. If not, there is a Star Wars room on IMC.
Clerics, Paladins, and their ilk - As there is only one true deity in Kisandria, that being the High God, only his clergy exist, as far as a priesthood goes. Heroes do have votaries which sometimes serve much the same purpose. The equivalent to paladin is generally the cavalier, who may or may not have special powers. Servants of other deities may be allowed in Kisandria, at the host's discretion, but they will generally lose all powers derived from that deity for the duration of their stay.
~~~Rejection List~~~
If you don't have any ideas for a character for Kisandria, take a peek around the website. There'll be a few races and such listed on there, that you can play as a native, without having to worry about how your character got there.

The Application
The application can take any form you like, really, but it should include a number of things. It needs the basic physical stats, description, that sort of thing. Name, where they come from, race, age, etcetera. It also needs any technological/scientific knowledge they have, even if it seems completely inapplicable. It needs any magic/psionics/other special abilities they know/have or have the potential to learn. Potential, mind you, isn't generally a reason for not allowing applications to go through.
Sample Application
There's a brief sample to take a look at. It's a pretty good format, one that's easily understood. Take note of the last thing on there, though. The history is often the balancing point for the application. Everything else, without it, is just a static image, a bunch of statistics. The history turns it into video, one might say, and gives a far better idea of the character's motivations, ideals, thoughts, and how generally the character will be played. Be sure to include it.

Hitch-hiker's Guide to Kisandria...
This section deals with, of course, where to roleplay.
If you take a glance at the Geography section, you'll notice a few places to play. If it's your first time in Kisandria, I might recommend Aesindor to play in. It, so far, tends to be the safest place to be, and the most accepting of different races. It's probably the best place to learn the world. Sabby-mun is in charge of Aesindor.
If you go in for the more mystical, or don't mind confusing and convoluted places, you might want to check into Da'nuil Kalioth. That's Kisandria's central mage city, where anything arcane can be bought or traded for, fairly well. It's the brainchild of Hroefn, the host. Talk to him, if you have any questions.
Varzette and Crusslev are both somewhat darker places, with Crusslev being the worse of the two. Yoshi Mun is the creator of Crusslev. Kevin-mun, of cohosting fame, is in charge of Varzette.
